Question Painting after wallpaper removal

I removed wallpaper, cleaned and primed the walls, painted two coats of latex paint. Now, in places, the paint is crackled. Probably wallpaper paste residue. How can I fix this?

I would apply one of the newer special pentrating primer/sealers. Examples would be: Scotch Paint's Draw-Tite, Zinsser's Gardz, Roman's Liquid Drywall, Seal-Krete's waterproofing sealer, or Sherwin Williams' PrepRite 200 or 400.

These are not specifically designed to penetrate and firm up old wallpaper paste, but many wallpaper pros use these products with excellent results where wallpaper paste residue is suspect. Unless someone else has a better idea, this would probably be the cheapest fix.
