Painting over dark colors
There are some paint manufacturers who market products that claim they you can cover a wall in one coat whether it is dark or light paint. Many painting experts recommend a primer if making a dramatic color change such as going from dark to light. Some forum posters, however, report adequate coverage with two coats of paint.
