Plaster walls

I've got plaster walls (badly done 100 years ago) that have been wall papered since they were put up. I've removed all layers down to the plaster and boy it is uly. I have painted it with a satin finish and am trying to figure out what I can do to minimize all thej bumps, grinds, patches and other gross blemishes. I'm not excited about rewall papering. Also, the room doesn't have a right angle ANYWHERE. It is 12.5 x 9.5'. The ceiling angles down one side to about midwall. I'd like to be creative and tasteful. Can anyone help?

Old plaster walls

Imperfections in a 100 year old house are part of its mystique. If the rough plaster bothers you, perhaps disguising it with a decorative painting technique rather than papering will help.
