cleaning rollers?

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning paint rollers? I'll clean and
clean them ..... To only find that after the roller had dried out it
has been ruined. One side or end(depending on how i set the roller dry) is hard. The rest of the roller feel like new.
I spend anywhere from 10-15mins cleaning under running water.

I also buy quality rollers.

Any ideas???

Thanks Ben

Try using a 5 in 1 tool--the curved part of it, to squeeze more of the paint out of the roller before cleaning. When using latex I fill a 5 gallon bucket full of water several times to clean my tools, then follow with hose rinse until clear. Usually before the last rinse I add a little dish detergent to clean...warm water if available. Can't say I have any problem with hard rollers. I think you are leaving paint in the nap.
