I have dark colored paneling throughout my finished family room. Can I paint over the paneling or would it have to be removed?

Sure you can paint it. Just make certain that the surface is clean and free of any oils, etc. If you think that something might bleed through your paint color, you might consider using a sander-primer-sealer like Kilz or Benjamin-Moore SPS. Ask your paint store for the best s-p-s to use with the paint that you select. (It usually will be made by the same manufacturer, which will bond better). Good Luck!

Use a oil primer on the paneling . Topcoats can be oil or latex.
