We are refinishing the basement. Drain pipes from upstairs come into the basement, and code requires access to cleanouts. I understand there is something called a "trap door" that inserts into drywall to allow for this access. Has anybody used these, and what are they?

All lumber yards or heating supply stores carry access doors for drywall. They come in differect sizes and they are made to friction fit into the drywall with tabs that bend around the drywall to hold them in place. They have a locking device on them that requires a screwdriver to open them and they can be painted to match the walls for a nice neat installation.
