MDF okay for outside use???

I'm installing a garden window this weekend and need a little insight into materials to use. The window weighs over 250lbs (72X46X24) so it will require a knee brace. I plan on building this out of 2X4 and finishing it in either MDF or T1-11. My buddy says to use the T1-11 and my boss pushed me to get the MDF. He says it will finsih nicer and look better once completed. Is MDF okay to use outside in this application??? I will seal either with Kills and paint, all seams will be caulked. I want a water proof cover that looks good......what is the best option? TIA

Even MR MDF (moisture resistant MDF) is for interior use only.

There is a MDO (medium density overlay) that is rated for outdoor use, it looks nice as does MDF.
