Flooring or wall first?

Great site, I'm going to learn a lot. In process of redoing a bath. Installing beadboard wainscoting and laying a tile floor over existing vinyl. Should we install the beadboard first or go ahead and do all the floor work first or does it matter? Thanks, appreicate any responses. Maisy

I would do the floor first. That way, if you ever decide to take the beadboard out later on, it won't be hard to do, nor will it interfer with the flooring.

Provided you are going to have some sort of baseboard, I don't think it matters which you do first. If you haven't already looked into it, you might want to think twice before installing floor tile over your vinyl floor. See http://forum.doityourself.com/showthread.php?t=152521
