Arrow Vinyl Wainscoting

Does anyone know of a vinyl or plastic wainscoting product
that might be available in the U.S. ? I have located a
company that produces this type of product, however it
is based in China.

Surely there is a manufacturer locally, here in the U.S.
also.

Thanks!

Try the Azek company. They have PVC beadboard and trims.

Why the desire for vinyl? I dont think I'd want plastic wainscoting when there are so many economical alternatives out there, MDF , drywall based systems.

Smile Vinyl Wainscoting

Great info......

We also located a company in upstate New York
that makes a nice MDF wainscoting :
www.DanburyCreek.com

The reason for interest in vinyl was that we puchased
a 1962 multi-level home, about a year ago, and decided to
remove the 40yr. drywall due to allergies. It had
only a mild amount of mold, but plenty of dust also.

So for future use, vinyl in a downstairs family room
would be a good choice.

How well would MDF hold up in downstairs (not exactly
basement) conditions?

It's considered a good idea to put a good primer on the back side of MDF moldings. MDF swells when it's exposed to water.

There are some other sites that sell paneling kits like Elitecrownmoulding.com. A search on "wainscotting" should turn up several for some comparison shopping.
