Hollow Baseboard Trim

Howdy All:

I'm wondering if something exists and where it can be found.

I want to run instrument cables through a room and would like some sort of baseboard trim that would allow it. Ideally, I would like it to attach permanently to the wall and provide a "lip" or someway to hide cables in it.

Does that make sense?

Thanks for any help.

I think what you want is a cable raceway or maybe even a flanged wire guard.

Google for "cable raceway" or "track moulding".

Go to a big box store (Lowes or HD or similar) and ask, usually in the dept. with phone and cable jacks they'll have a system available. There is usually a track with a clip on cover, they'll have corners and everything.

Hollow trim

Hi Saddle
If you are actually looking for baseboard trim with a hollow back, they do make it. Think it comes in several profiles. You attach clips to the wall, lay in the cables, then snap the molded trim in place. Be warned, IT"S NOT CHEAP! Sorry I can't tell you the namebrand, but I know I've seen it, possibly on TV or in one of my magazines

If yer just looking to conceal the wires,Do what the other guys said. Ask for "Wiremold", they have different types...metal that you screw on a track then snap covers over, and plastic thats self adhesive. All depends on how many wires you need to run.
Good Luck
