Trimming a Doorway

I am trimming out a doorway (not a door) which is essentially a five foot wide opening between rooms. The wall is made from a 2x6 with half inch drywall on each side, making the wall thickness 6-1/2". I am wondering if there is a jamb that I can find easily that is cut to this opening size or if I am just going to have to rip a 1x8? It seems like there should be something since 2x6 walls aren't that uncommon, but I haven't found anything yet. The closest I have come is a piece of MDF that looks like it is for this purpose but is 7-1/4" wide. What am I asking for at the lumber yard... or do I just rip it? The trim will be painted.

You'll rip it to the correct width.
