paneling question

I am remodeling my basement. Old dark paneling. I filled cracks in paneling down 40" and textured, primed and painted. I want to put the same knotty pine tongue & groove on bottom half of paneling. I don't know what to use for trim on bottom of knotty pine and do I do the walls first or the floor. I need some ideas of what to put on the floor. I do not want carpet. Something not too expensive. I am doing a 30 by 40 room. Thanks Roxie

Welcome to the forums Roxie!

There are many choices of base to use with knotty pine; clear base [stain grade] painted base, no base or even 1x4 pine.

Vinyl or tile both work well in a basement. You can also use a laminate providing it is rated for below grade.
