What primer/sealer for MDF trim?

Hi Folks, I plan on cutting custom baseboards out of MDF from 4x8 panels.

Is there a special primer/sealer that is used on MDF when you use MDF as trim mouldings? I'm worried about water/paint absorption puffing out/warping the MDF and I heard MDF trim manufacturers use some special primer/sealer.

Thanks for the help.

You should be fine using either a latex or oil base enamel undercoater.
