Question on crown molding and dental molding.

Trying to spice up a kitchen that was designed via a spec home.

The house is just under 3 years old. Instead of replacing all the cabinets it was thought best to try and spice them up a bit by adding crown molding and/or some dental molding to the cabinets. Also an extra cabinet is going to be added.

Without know where the cabinet originated, the concern is that it won't match.

How does one go about finding and purchasing crown molding and/or dental molding or even an extra cabinet that will match in color of existing cabinets when the brand the original cabinets are unknown?

Cabinets

Look inside the drawers for a stamp showing the name of the manufacturer.

What species of wood? Oak, maple, cherry?

Also, what kind of finish? Laquer, poly?

Lowe's and Home Depot both have Crown Moldings and my have dental moldings.

Also try molding shops in the larger cities close by.
