Paneling over vinyl siding

My sun room has vinyl siding on it, as it was originally an outside wall. I want to put a nice wood paneling on the walls. Do I need to remove the vinyl siding first? Do a need to put furring strips? Also, do I need to remove the covering around the windows?
Thanks

Vinyl siding is very easy to remove, so I would suggest you remove it so that you can mount your panelling to something solid. Vinyl siding moves too much to mount anything on top of it. Not sure what sort of covering you're talking about on the windows, unless it is aluminum cladding. If it is, you could probably leave it unless your plan is to retrim or repaint your window trim. But any and all vinyl j-channel and vinyl accessories should be removed.

Thank you for the advice on the Vinyl siding vs. paneling...
I believe I am supposed to start at the top to remove the siding.
That's my plan.
