Add a wood handrail and wainscoting on a curved stair

Separated from Wainscotting on curved wall

We have a curved stairway we're struggling to replace a banister/handrailing on, actually, to add a wood one atop the iron ballusters/handrail.

We're hoping to potentially DIY wainscoting also. We had found this some months ago, and it seems like it might also be useful to post here, even if not curved.
