We are planning to put base moulding along floors and surrounding windows also sliding doors. Behind the drywall is aluminum beams. Question is How should we attach? We have a 18 guage brad nailer and a 18 guage narrow crown stapler - which do we use?

Any feedback is appreciated.

good old steel studs

I would use the brad nailer with 11/2" brads. Nail the moulding twice in each spot on an angle so that the brads form as X on the horizontal. This trick works quite well. You could also add small dots of liquid nails on the back of the moulding to give additional holding power.
