door trim too close to corner

I've got some door trim that is really close to the corner. The base trim would have to butt up to the face of the door trim. Is there a way to make that look nice, or a better method?

Thanks

If there is enough room, notch the baseboard out so that it fits into the gap and over the face of the casing. If it's small enough to caulk, butt it into the front and caulk the gap where the baseboard leaves a void.

I had a similar situation when I installed the base in my bed rm. What I did was rip a narrow piece of wood with the top stained/poly'd to match the base and slid it into the void beside the casing with a little caulking to hold it in place.
