I am considering replacing the worn lap siding on the front of my house with the Hardiplank cement fiber siding.
are there any special installation concerns that i should be aware of?

No special concerns.

Lots of dust when cutting with a circular saw. Use a regular carbide saw blade, but don't plan on using it again for anything else.

Keep nails at least 3/4" away from edges when nailing. It will shatter.

Prime before installing. Caulk and paint after.
