We had a big storm a couple of weeks ago that took our screen door off it's henges, it also tood with it two chucks of wood from the door frame that the screen door was attached to. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this? We are renting our house and would like to fix it ourselves if possible so we don't get charged for it.

The landlord should have insurance for this. Screen doors usually attach to the brickmold trim around the door. Replacing the brickmold is not hard. Make sure you get a 7' piece of brickmold to replace the broken one.

Thank you

We'll have to check and see if he does have insurance for it, if so then we hopefully shouldn't be charged for it.

Thank you for the advice, appreciate it.
