Shoe Molding Using Contact Cement
I am wondering about installing toe or shoe molding using contact cement. It would eliminate nail holes and (I think) could be removed with some effort. Also it would adhere to the factory finish on the hardwood floor. I however, don't have a lot of experience with contact cement, and would appreciate some advice.
My other idea was to use hot glue, but it would be challenging to get the pieces in place without the glue cooling too much.
Any other suggestions appreciated!
(ignore part about sticking it to the floor... forgot about expansion and contraction of hardwood)

After thinking on it a bit more... i agree... probably going to pin it with minimal glue. Might look into hide glue.

Not sure why your trying to reinvent the wheel.
There is no need for any glue. just use finish nails and a filler like Fast-N-Final and be done with it.

Scares me when you say "pin it" brad nails have no head for holding power.
If I had to use a glue I'd be using this.

Low odor, fast grab, water clean up.
