Question ceiling paint chips , not texture failure, how to fix it.

My Paint on my ceiling has chipped near my stove, i replaced my stove hood to get rid of cause,
How can i blend old paint edge to textured ceiling before i prime and repaint whole ceiling.
the texture is fine, the paint looked as if it was poorly applied, and the heat and stove fumes peeled it.

I was told alcohol would soften and blend this paint edge?

Sanding is the way to blend the edge but texture doesn't tend to blend. You may need to retexture the repair first.

First it would be nice to know why the paint chipped.
You'd likely need to add a little mud to the chipped area to make it blend.
