I presently have plywood sheathing for the exterior wall on the front of my house. I would like to add a layer of insulation and place another layer plywood sheathing on top.

Is there any reason to remove the original sheathing if there is no damage? What insulation is recommended?

Thanks

Wayne,
About the only choice you have is the expanded foam insulating sheets, about an inch thick. Can't remember the R value, but I guess every lil' bit helps. If the walls aren't insulated, now would be the perfect time to drill holes and blow it in.
