Question Hot tub room cedar planking maintanence???

We need help!!! We built on to our home, adding on a cement slab a breezeway, 3 season room, and garage. The 3 season room is now going to be home to our 7'10'' square hot tub. We are having a "humidity control" exhaust fan installed. We would like to finish the walls with toungue and groove cedar planking, but we have no idea how we need to finish it, or what kind of maintanence the wood will require. We have asked many sources, and they all have varying opinions ranging from "nothing" to "seal it with polyurethane". Does anyone have any ideas on this based on thier own experience? I appreciate any input!!!

Truth be known, you can finish it with anything but paint. Clear stain, cedar stain, (NO WATER SEALERS). You are worried about the steam from your hot tub. We have the same set up. Have never done anything with our walls. I never got around to it.
Remember, cedar grows in wet places. One thing, don't put the tongue and grove tight. Leave a little for expansion. Remember wood swells when it is damp or wet. Good Luck
