question onhow to cut wood paneling

I plan to install some wood paneling. Can I cut this with a finish blade in a skill saw if I set the blade depth to just go through the paneling? Should I turn the paneling upside down when I cut to minimize any splintering to the back side of the paneling? Would I be better to cut it using a fine tooth blade in a saber saw?

For any long cuts, the best way is to use the Skil saw on the back of the paneling. For outlet cutouts, use the sabre saw. Doesn't really matter what side those are made on. To avoid maring the surface of the paneling, put a layer of masking or duct tape on the baseplate of the sabre saw.
