tounge & groove do it yourself

I want to put a pine floor in my house, and would like to do the tounge and groove myself. Can I use a router to do it? Who sells matched bits? Anyone done this in large volume. Should I buy something better than a router?
Appreciate any thoughts

Hello Bill,
You can certainly do it yourself, but it is quite a project.
A router with a T&G bit will do the trick. It is best done with a router table.
You can find a tongue & groove bit at Rockler.com
Here's a link right to the bit:

Remember, with a pine floor - it is soft and will acquire dings and dents, especially with kids or a dog.

good luck,
fred
