1987 nissan pathfinder wont start

i have a 1987 nissan pathfinder v6 engine automatic trans, 300000 miles good engine and trans ...that wont start have power to all interior and exterior lighting no activity under the hood at all at ignition, no intermitencies prior to failure of ignition, fussable linkage appears ok any ideas where to start?

Check your fuse box and see if you "ignition" fuse is good....if it is
remove the starter, take it to your nearest parts store and have it tested (free of charge). If it tests bad, buy a new one and put it in your vehicle. If it tests good, let us know so we can suggest other possibilities.

If the starter clicks or doesn't engage (or does and stops), rap on the body of the starter with a hammer. If it now works, replace the starter with a Nissan rebuilt one.

Check your connections for soundness and tightness.
