1983 chevy van
My husbands 1983 chevy van has a problem in the emission system. the car is running to rich. We need to find a diagram to this van to repair it.
any ideas. I think it is a v8

If you mean the emission diagram, it's a sticker under the hood. That tells you where all the vacuum lines go.
Barring you mean that, there are multiple places to start:
1) Tuneup with all filters and fluids. Use good quality parts.
2) Change all the rubber vacuum lines. Shot at this age.
3) Likely trouble lies in the carburetor, which is tired and needing a rebuild at this age.
I suggest you get a manual either from your parts store or local library to guide you through the repairs.
