no spark in ranger

1986 ford ranger
2.9liter v6

I recently put a different 2.9 in this truck. The old one ran but had no oil pressure. Now I have no spark. The plug wires, cap, rotor, coil and ignition module are all new. There is voltage across the coil when you turn the key. All wires appear to be in order except one black wire that is bundled with two other wires that go to the knock sensor. I can't seem to find anywhere that the wire would go to. Could that be my problem?, if so would you have any idea where that wire should go?. Any info would be great.

Everything must be properly hooked up or there will be major gazorches you'll never find.

What year is this "new" engine? Also, check the autolibrary link below to see about a wiring diagram for it. If not, get a hold of a service manual to guide you.
