95 Mazda MX6
#1

I have a 95 Mazda MX-6. The antenna will not stay up and the radio turns on and off. It seems completely random. The problem occurs while the car is in motion as well as when it is stopped. I am not sure which fuses control the radio or if that is even the problem. Help please!
Thanks,
Jason

The radio could be shorted inside making the antenna think it's off and it's going back down.
Pull the plug to the antenna. If the radio stays on all the time, the problem is in the antenna circuit. If the radio still cuts out, it likely has internal problems (check the wires going to the radio, but I doubt it), and has to be sent away for service.
If you have an aftermarket radio, start there. Most aftermarket installations are hokey and troublesome.
