Fixing fiberglass spoiler?

I got this fiberglass (I think) spoiler off a 240sx from a friend, and wanted to help my brother put it on his '92 toyota camry. The problem is, it has a large crack down the edge, and a hole about 1.5" in diameter. but otherwise, it's not too bad..

I was going to sand it down (get the paint off) first, then try to patch up the hole, but I've never worked with fiberglass before. I was thinking about using body filler, but i figure fiberglass would be better. I bought fiberglass resin and cloth already, and also have a bunch of automotive body filler so I can go either way. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how to work with the fiberglass, any tips/hints/tricks/directions/yada/yada/and yada?

Can anyone help me?

I thank you in advance.

Knuckles detailed this a week or so ago on how to fix fiberglass. You might look that post up and he gives good instructions there.
