Hi Joe,
I read "The Basics" twice. I went to the sites you suggested. There is so many things that could be wrong. If it is not too much trouble, would you tell me what you would check first, second, and third, just to give me an experts idea of how I should get started? I would really appreciate it.

Yes, it's a Ford, there's plenty to go wrong
.
1) Check the ignition system. If it has not seen maintenance in some time, start here.
2) Check the fuel pressure with a gauge. Autozone can rent you one for free. If you're not sure how to use it, ask, or have it done for you.
3) Use the links in my signature file (autolibrary) for one for some reading and guidance.
