1990 Cadillac Electrical Problem?
Have a Cadillac De Ville with weird problem. Bought car and radio was not in. Installed radio and when all electrical stuff was going, car would shake/shimmey. Then replaced alternator. Then replaced alternator again. Car now backfires, sometimes doesn't start and 15 minutes later will start. Now backfires alot or cuts out. Could it be sparkplugs or wires "arcing out" or as my gut feeling would tell me maybe an electrical problem.

Could be just about anything. Are the plug wires on right? Firing on all cylinders? (Put a timing light on each plug wire while it is running and see if the light discharge is erratic or not).
How's the fuel pressure? Rest of the ignition system? Any trouble codes in the computer?
