89 Ford E-150

Van Info: 1989 Ford Econoline E-150 , 6 Cylinder, Automatic Trans.

Question: When the van is cold it starts fine, But after it gets hot (driving on highway etc.) and I shut it off it will not start up again, it will just keep turning over but will not start. After letting it sit for 15 - 20 minutes it will start rite up. Could it be the starter going bad or the ignition switch? something simple and cheap to fix maybe?

Thanks

Evan

Suspect the distributor mounted TFI module, which has been a known bomb for Ford.

The next time you get stuck, yank a plug wire and tell us if you have spark. That should tell you something
