weird problem

okay this is weird, i have a 97 voyager, it has two pushbuttons, one for the a/c system and one for the max a/c(airflow). now it has a five position blower speed knob on it. it seems to work intermitantly. the other day we were driving with a/c on and the blower was on speed three. all of a sudden the a/c kicked off and so did the blower we turned it to speed five and everything worked fine. speed one through four didn't work at all. i turned the a/c off and turned the heat on and all five speeds worked. the next day the a/c worked in all five positions again. this happens all the time it wasn't just a single incident. any ideas thanks

When you lose low speeds of the fan, that is usually a blower resistor problem. Very common problem.

Inspect the blower resistor (typically in the engine compartment or behind the glovebox) for damage and corrosion. Most times it's just bad.

See if autolibrary.org below has anything on it.
