Ac

I have a 98 GMC Jimmy SLS 4.3L, the air conditioner works ocasionally. Usually on very hot and humid days it does not work at all. On days where it is fairly nice outside it works fine. I had the AC cleaned and checked to see if the refrigerant was low and it was fine. When its not working it is usually blowing hot air. What can I do to fix this. Thanks

Corey

Bring it back to the shop that did the work and have them investigate why it is happening. How's the cooling system's condition?

Try turning your a/c on and (under the hood) find the accumulator(silver can by the firewall)wiggle the connecter on the low pressure switch if the compressor cycles on and off replace the switch. You can do this without losing any refrigerant.Do not tighten the switch with anything other than you fingers you will break it.
