1989 Mazda 626 LX

I am trying to remove the alternator from the car. The alternator bottom bolt seems to be frozen. I've tried WD-40 and PB Blaster to try and loosen the bolt. No success. The bolt only moves so far. I have tried a 14 MM breaker socket to try and get it off with no success. I think I am stripping the bolt. Any suggestions?

Did u try?

I found that kerosene works the best to remove bolts. Im not sure if it will work here but maybe worth a try. I have a large # of penetrants (5way, kerosene, etc) but i still find i have to drill and chase the taps. Sometimes use heat but only if i can ruin anything. Dont think it will apply in crammed quarters of a 626.

Take care and may the force be w/ u

Try heating the bolt. That might help a bit.
