electric window motor... '96 caddy

1996 sedan deville northstar
driver's door window is stuck partially open
chevy dealer mechanic says it needs a new motor, and he'll replace it for 330 bucks. i bought a remanufactured motor for 64 bucks... now i need advice on how to change it

you might try a auto glass shop. where i live they will change it for 50.00? how about that! if you try it yourself go down to your local parts dealer and buy a repair manual for about 15.00. a lot of them have that repair procedure in them.

See if autolibrary.org has any R&R procedures on it. They are usually a PITA to do and it might be worth it to bail out and have it done.

Watch out for poor quality rebuilt motors. I suggest an OE GM so you don't do it twice!!
