No Fuel at Start up.

I have a 1996 Chevy Silverado Pickup VIN IGCGLZ4R4TE178871 with 5700 Vortex engine that will start with starting fluid and keep running but will not start on its own. The owners manual shows no emergency shut off switch for the fuel pump that might have been tripped. Is there an electrically operated soliniod on or near the throttle body that could have failed on this engine? Is there an emergency fuel shut off somewhere else? Troubleshooting ideas?

Check your fuel pressure with a good guage you need 55 psi to start your truck. Also leave the guage on for a couple hours and see if it drops off.I feel you may need a fuel pump,if you do get a new pump wiring harness also.
