air conditioning!

I have a 97 Chevy Astro van with 100k+ miles on it. Very well maintenanced. Had a few AC problems. All have been fixed. Recently, turned on AC and air was coming out of defrost vents instead of AC vents. What would cause this? Thanks in advance. DC

common problem

check your vacuum lines for holes and cracks. Loss of vacuum is more than likely causing your HVAC to default to defrost.

The lines that usually fail are of a small diameter and to the left and front of the engine compartment.
