what is an iac motor and where is it found on a 1990 grand prix with a 3.1 litre engine?

Not sure of it's location(Joe_F will probably tell you it later),but it's an idle air control motor or valve.It basically does what it's name implies,the computer uses it to maintain or control the cars idle.
