97 6speed transam

It will go into all forward gears but I am locked out of reverse. It just will not go, even if the car is off. It doesn't make any noise or anything. I'd bend it if I pushed any harder. I'm thinking reverse lockout is bad? It started after all this rain we got on the eastern shore. Would it go into any other gears if the fork was bad?

There is a fuse underhood, check it first, the lockout you speak of needs power and ground for the solenoid to operate. If the fuse is ok. Remove the lockout solenoid and supply 12 volts and ground it should click,if it does you have an electrical problem,if it does not the solenoid is bad.Keep us posted these are easy most likely checks to do first.
