Removing pine sap

I have pine tree sap drippings on the exterior finish of my automobile. How should I remove this with little or no damage to the finish?

Thanks, Dave

I've had good result with Murphy's Oil Soap, which is gentle on
expensive car finishes - dilute in warm water and shlop it on with a rag. The sap is water-soluble and the MOS helps dissolve it

Bug and tar remover also works as well.

Pine sap

Try some WD 40 wont hurt the paint, and it works better on road tar than any tar remover I ever used.
