Digital odometer

I have a 1999 Motero Sport. The instrument panel needs to be replaced, but I am concerned with the mileage. If I replace the complete instrument panel, will I have to have the odometer adjusted or is the settings saved somewhere other than the actaul odometer? Thanks for any help.

Yes, the dealer or reliable aftermarket source can give you a new cluster with the same mileage as the original.

Just making sure

The milage is saved in the odometer? Is there usaully an additional charge for them to correct the milage? Thank you for the quick response.

Either way, the mileage has to match what it was before the replacement.

They will ask you the original mileage and you will likely have to fill out a statement and place a sticker in the door jamb showing the odometer was replaced. I believe it is a law.
