1991 Dodge Spirit won't start
I have a 1991 Dodge Spirit that died on me driving down the street, and won't start now. The battery appears to be good, the coil is new, the fuel filter is new. The engine cranks when I turn the ignition but won't run. I am not getting spark at the plugs or at the coil. What could be left that would cause the vehicle to stop like it did and keep it from starting?
Thanks for the help.

1991 Dodge Spirit won't start
I took the advice of a buddy and I had someone try and start the car as I watched to see if the rotor turned. It did not, so according to him my timing belt probably broke. Does that sound accurate? Is replacing the timing belt a job that a novice should attempt? Thanks. Oh, and the engine size is 2.2L.

That is correct. The belt is broken or stripped. It's not a very hard job, but there is a special tool used to put the correct amount of tension on the belt when it is installed. (or that's what we used at the dodge dealership)...there may be another way to set the tension correctly. You'll want a service manual to do this job.
