1986 Chey Silverado 4X4 stumbling

1986 Chevy Silverado 4X4, 305 V8, 4bl, Auto, 120k.
Idles great, but intermittantly ?stumbles? at 45mph
and above. This started last week, only occasionally
missing or as I would call it more of a stumbling feeling.
This has increased to the point of being undrivable.
If I kick down the secondaries it will clear up for a mile
or so, and then start again. This vehicle is well maintained.
Oil change and all filters every 3000 mi. Fuel pump was
replaced 6 mo ago. Does this sound like a fuel issue or
electrical? This is my only transportation, so I will have
to fix it myself.

Thanks,
Robert Grogan

Sounds like it's time for a carburetor rebuild.

If you've gone through all of the tune up items, it is likely an old an tired carburetor at this point in time.

You can check the fuel pressure to be sure. When was the last time the carburetor saw service?
