Removeal of rear windshield wiper arm from 1992 Dodge Caravan

My rear wiper arm stuck in the 12:00 oclock position the other day with the wiper motor still running. Apparently the wiper arm is slipping on the motor shaft. I attempted to remove the arm from the shaft, but I have not been able to. I have used a Haynes manual, but this is no help in this matter. Seems to be a clip or something around the base of the arm support piece but moving the clip did not do any good. I even removed the inner rear panel in the van and removed the wiper motor support plate but I still have been unable to remove the wiper arm from the wiper motor shaft. Anyone have any advice or answers. Stumped!

Look in autolibrary below. There is a special tool that you can get at any auto parts store that should make the job easier.
