Dodge Neon speedometer

Does anyone know of a fix for a non working Neon speedometer?

Sure if I knew the year and more detail on the problem!

See the forum's announcement at the top for posting rules.

Anything from a bad speed sensor to a bad cluster could cause this. Alldata.com might have some clues in the form of bulletins and recalls if applicable.

Neon Speedometer

The car is a 1996.
The speedometer works for a short time at times. Twenty miles or less. If the car is stopped and the engine restarted, the speedometer may resume working for the short period.
The connection at the transmission is tight and free from corrosion.

Again, have you checked alldata.com for relevant service bulletins/and/or recalls?
