sensor light

Had Oxygen sensor replaced, Now light will not go off, It constantly flashes, Did try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins. Still flashes. Is there anything that can be done other than shooting it ?
It is a 1986 Chevy Sprint, 3cyl. Well over 1hundred thou. miles Sorry For forgetting the important info.

I might have a better clue if I knew what type of vehicle, year, make, mileage, etc, etc.

Could be anything from a wire falling off to a bevy of sensors gone bad.

Need basic information. See the top of the forum for posting guidelines and rules.
