The car has 54,000 milies. Sometimes, when I back up. I get a single "Clunk" from the drive train. Sounds like running over a small rock. This happens only after the car has set and cooled down and is louder if backing up a hill under power. It only happens once and I cannot get it to repeat by shifting. No other noises or malfuncions exist. Has anyone experienced with this? I am looking for a diagnosis. Can't get it to do it at a dealer.

Leave it with the dealer overnight and be specific as you have been here to see if they can track it down.

Check alldata.com for known bulletins or issues that match your symptoms.
